Veronica Soto

Veronica Soto is a highly-skilled criminal defense attorney who serves as of counsel to Lamano Law Office. With over 15 years of legal experience, including 9 years in criminal law and 6 years in civil litigation, Ms. Soto brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her clients.

Her legal journey began at the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, where she honed her skills as a public defender. She later transitioned to the role of Deputy City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles, where she spent 4 years as a city prosecutor before moving to the general civil litigation unit for an additional 6 years. Before officially joining Lamano Law as of counsel, Ms. Soto collaborated with the firm for 2 years as a contract attorney.

With an impressive record of over 20 trials in both criminal and civil courts, Ms. Soto is celebrated for her strategic approach to cases. Her commitment to achieving the best outcomes has led to numerous case dismissals, favorable verdicts, and successful settlements. She is also known for providing outstanding support to her clients, both inside and outside the courtroom.

Ms. Soto’s diverse legal experience extends beyond criminal and civil law. As a family law attorney, she guided clients through divorce, child custody disputes, and property division. She also served as an immigration attorney, representing clients in deportation proceedings and assisting with U.S. citizenship applications. Fluent in Spanish, she is able to connect with and advocate for a wide range of clients.

Ms. Soto earned her Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2002, where she served as an editor for the Computer and High Technology Law Journal and held a leadership role as the public relations coordinator for the Latin and Native American Law Students Association.

Outside of her work at Lamano Law, Ms. Soto enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her husband and two sons.
