Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star in Criminal and Appellate Law
Super Lawyers – Thomson Reuters
2017
No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list. Jason is honored to now be a part of this select group. Bar associations and courts across the country have recognized the legitimacy of the Super Lawyers selection process. In July 2008, the New Jersey Supreme Court upheld the findings of a Special Master assigned by the court to, among other things, examine the details of our process. In his report, the Special Master lauded our lawyer-rating process, stating: “[The Super Lawyers selection process] is a comprehensive, good-faith and detailed attempt to produce a list of lawyers that have attained high peer recognition, meet ethical standards, and have demonstrated some degree of achievement in their field.” “Suffice to say, the selection procedures employed by [Super Lawyers] are very sophisticated, comprehensive and complex.”

10 Best Criminal Law Attorneys in Texas for Client Satisfaction
American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys
2015
Quote from recent AIOCLA press release: The American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys has recognized the exceptional performance of Texas Criminal Law Attorney Jason Horton as 2015 10 Best Criminal Law Attorneys for Client Satisfaction. The American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys is a third-party attorney rating organization that publishes an annual list of the Top 10 Criminal Law attorneys in each state. Attorneys who are selected to the “10 Best” list must pass AIOCLA’s rigorous selection process, which is based on client and/or peer nominations, thorough research, and AIOCLA’s independent evaluation. AIOCLA’s annual list was created to be used as a resource for clients during the attorney selection process. One of the most significant aspects of the selection process involves attorneys’ relationships and reputation among his or her clients. As clients should be an attorney’s top priority, AIOCLA places the utmost emphasis on selecting lawyers who have achieved significant success in the field of Criminal Law without sacrificing the service and support they provide. Selection criteria therefore focus on attorneys who demonstrate the highest standards of Client Satisfaction. We congratulate Jason on this achievement and we are honored to have him as a 2015 AIOCLA Member.
