Ernest H. Ehling Jr

Ernest H. Ehling, Jr., Esq. is an experienced attorney, tax and financial professional. He concentrates his practice in serving the needs of high-net-worth individuals in the areas of tax and estate planning, estate and trust administration, international tax and estate planning, business succession planning, asset protection planning, and estate and trust litigation.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Ehling began his legal career as in-house counsel with Travelers Insurance Company in Philadelphia, PA. He later joined the tax consulting practice of Big 4 accounting and tax consulting firm, Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Philadelphia, PA. After his time with Deloitte, Mr. Ehling practiced law for several years until accepting a Financial Advisor position in the Global Wealth & Investment Management Practice of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. At Merrill Lynch, Mr. Ehling held Series 7, 65 and 63 securities registrations and Life, Health and Variable Insurance Licenses.

Mr. Ehling joined Reger Rizzo & Darnall in 2018, as a member of the Firm’s Estates & Trusts and Business Succession Planning practice groups. There are many interrelated issues clients face in the areas of tax, estates and trusts, asset protection planning, and business succession planning, and Mr. Ehling brings his unique background to his practice in these areas.

He has lectured to the public, lawyers and other professionals and has authored articles and materials on a variety of topics including tax and estate planning. He is admitted to the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars, and several federal courts including the United States Tax Court.
