I provide a full range of services to those planning for the future disposition of their assets and to minimize or eliminate tax or other unfavorable consequences including probate avoidance by offering various types of wills, trusts, and other estate planning devices.
I am an experienced and compassionate attorney who is available to assist Executors and Personal Representatives with estate and trust and probate administration and Probate Court proceedings.
I have two Masters in Taxation and many years of experience in handling individual, estate and business tax matters both as an attorney and a CPA. I have a Masters in Tax Law from Villanova and a Masters in Tax Accounting from USC.
I have legal experience in practicing with all different types of corporations, partnerships and LLCs as well as choice of entity matters. I believe that it is extremely important to gather client facts and discuss client goals and to communicate my opinion on those facts and goals before the client ultimately chooses the type of business entity.

- Since 1998, Mr. Givens has practiced as an attorney and an accountant in Florence, Columbia, and Sumter, South Carolina. As an attorney, he has practiced in the areas of corporate law, corporate and individual taxation, employee benefits, law, and commercial and estate litigation, estate planning, wills, trusts and probate. Mr. Givens is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of South Carolina and the United States District Court. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Sumter County Bar Association. Mr. Givens is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the South Carolina Association of CPAs.
