I’m Attorney Jim Tanner. I’ve been a trial attorney for 37 years. I was born and raised right here in Tampa Bay area. My dream was to become a Professional Baseball Player. It came true the very night I graduated from High School I was selected as the third draft choice nationwide by the Detroit Tigers Baseball organization.
My Education: I earned my BA from USF in Political Science, and my Juris Doctorate from Boston Suffolk Law School where I served as a Special Prosecutor for the MA Governor’s Consumer Boards of Nursing, Destistry and wrote my Doctorial Thesis in Law and Medicine.
My most important lesson in life came from my parents who instilled in me one simple truth, “We Must Always Treat Others, The Way We Would Want Someone To Treat Us or Someone We Love.” Do that said my folks and you will be happier and have a more meaningful life.
We are living in a challenging times. Our nation needs a just and fair legal system for everyone. Many citizens feel politicans have compromised “Our Constitutional Rights by a selection process in which Our Courts are filled with Judges” who are handpicked by political, corporate elites to serve a political agenda. Such a division threatens the very foundation upon which our constitutional rights were formed. Indeed, our Founding Fathers had the wisdom to forsee this which is why they established the three branches of our government:
• Legislative Branch, make laws through Congress, in our nations senate and house of representatives
• Executive Branch, which enforces the laws through the President, Vice president and Cabinet; and our
• Judicial Branches which “Interprets the laws through our Supreme Court and other courts.
I believe the greatest threat is when one Branch Usurps the power of another branch. In my mind the elites select the Federal Judges.
When a President usurps the inherit power of our Judicial Branch it’s the citizens rights which suffer injustice.
