I began as a civil defense attorney for four years before working for the Santa Clara DA’s office for 38 years. At the DA’s office I worked with the court, police and other attorneys in prosecuting criminal cases. I tried over 150 jury trials including murders, sexual assaults, the prosecution of police officers, drugs, fraud, DUIs, and I handled thousands of other proceedings such as negotiated settlements, motions and preliminary hearings.
