During law school, Simon interned with the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) where he assisted families with release from detention centers, visa applications, and removal proceedings.
Simon interned as a Certified Legal Intern for the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association and Florida A&M University College of Law Legal Clinic as a Guardian Ad Litem, representing the best interest of children inside and outside of the courts.
Simon also interned with a boutique law firm in Dallas, assisting their clients with commercial real estate, intellectual property, social media, tax planning, employment law, and corporate transactions.
In addition to all the hard work with academics and practice, Simon held leadership roles throughout his entire tenure at law school. Simon was a Supreme Court Justice for the Florida A&M University Student Government Association, where he lobbied for change to ensure that the Supreme Court would always include law students within the Court system. He was also elected as a representative for the College of Law through The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Law School Affiliates, where he was honored in receiving the “Governor of the Year” award from The Florida Bar.
Simon has moderated panel discussions, including the inaugural Florida Law Schools’ Consortium for Racial Justice discussing “Civil Rights Litigation and Coalition Building in the 21st Century.”
Simon passed the Texas Bar Exam on his first attempt, scoring in the top 10%, according to historical data.
