Born in Dallas, Texas, Stacy M. Kirven has lived in Sheridan, Wyoming since she was 6 years old. Stacy received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Criminal Justice and Political Science from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Stacy earned her Juris Doctorate degree and graduated in December of 2014 from the University of Wyoming College of Law.
Stacy spent her first four years of practice as an Associate Attorney with the Barney & Graham, LLC law firm in Sheridan before opening Kirven Law, LLC. Stacy has ample experience in representing clients with domestic relations issues, including: divorce, establishment of paternity, establishment of custody and visitation, child support, custody modifications, adoption, termination of parental rights, and guardianships. In addition to family law, Stacy has expertise in criminal defense matters, immigration issues, workers’ compensation, and appellate issues before Wyoming District Courts and the Wyoming Supreme Court.
Stacy is a past Vice President of the Sheridan County Bar Association, serves as the Secretary on the Board of Directors for Legal Aid of Wyoming, Inc., and was previously a contract public defender with the Office of the State Public Defender for the State of Wyoming. Stacy has also served as a guest faculty member for the University of Wyoming College of Law’s Trial Practice Program.
