During law school, I was a student attorney at Hiscock Legal Aid in Syracuse doing unemployment insurance, family law and divorce cases, worked at legal aid on Social Security overpayment matters and at the Oneida County Public Defender’s office.
I was able to take the bar exam early and began working as an Assistant Public Defender in Chenango County and was quickly promoted to First Assistant Public Defender. After three years there defending individuals against everything from low level violations to class A drug and sex crimes, I left and began working as the Norwich City Attorney and an Assistant County Attorney for Chenango County.
